PRIVO is an independent, third-party organization committed to safeguarding children’s personal information collected online. The PRIVO COPPA certification Seal posted on this page indicates Apps Factory Media Ltd has established COPPA compliant privacy practices and has agreed to submit to PRIVO’s oversight and consumer dispute resolution process. How Do We Collect Information? We collect information when your child uses the game, makes purchases and contacts other using the internal chat mechanism. All this information is collected and stored on our Firebase database and transferred via secure socket layer (SSL). We use encryption to make sure that third parties cannot listen on the conversation between your mobile device and our servers, and to ensure that information is sent only to our servers, in order to minimize the chance of a malicious entity that might want to impersonate our server.
What Information Do We Collect? We collect the following information, which includes the materials that your child provides during the registration process, and technical information based on his use. This includes:
A unique user ID for each user, which is generated in our system and is purely technical and non-identifiable.
The child’s device category: whether it is a phone or a tablet;
Technical information relating to his device, such as his mobile device’s brand, model, operating system version, country, and a device ID.
Geo-location information which includes approximate continent, country, region and city.
Payment methods, if you subscribed to our services.
A username, if your child is a registered user and an email address of the paying parent;
his game progress, which includes his level, experience, coins, registration state and total play time.
Some demographic information including gender and age;
The child’s in-game friend list and chat messages.
How Do We Use Personal Information? We process this information to provide your child with the game and to improve on the services. We monitor chats for suspicious activity and we also use statistical services to check what needs to be improved in the game. If you used a credit card to pay for a service, we may also stored that according to professional standards, such as the PCI/DSS.
Who Do We Share Your Child’s Information With? We acknowledge that children are a special, delicate and susceptible group, and therefore we try to minimize all exposure of children’s information to anyone. We only share specific information with our employees or subcontractors who are on a need-to-know basis, and with some third parties who provide us with a part of the services, including back4app’s Parse, Google’s Firebase and Firebase Analytics for database and statistics, we use Twohat for monitoring abusive language (only for the My Town 3D). We use Mandrill to send email updates and AppsFlyer.
We use Admob and unity ads for displaying advertisements, which are not behavioral and do not target your child specifically.
We use Photonengine for software development kits (only for the My Town 3D)
These third parties are under strict confidentiality obligations and shall never use your child’s information for any purpose save for providing the services.
Why Are Children So Special? Your children are special and important. The law provides them with greater protections than adults, which includes their right not to have their personal data used for marketing purposes, and that they may delete this data at any time. It also grants them the right to not be subject to data collection without their specific consent. While under some jurisdictions, the collection of a child’s personal data is not conditioned on consent, we take the harsher approach and apply this condition to all jurisdictions.
How Can You Review Your Child’s Information? You can always send us a message at email@example.com and request that we send you a copy of all your personal data. when doing so, we will first verify your identity, and thereafter we shall provide you with a copy of some information. Please note that if we are unable to verify your identity, we may choose to delete all information in lieu of sending a copy, and that is to increase security.
How Can You Amend, Delete or Request That We Cease Processing Personal Data? Yes. You can send us a message at
firstname.lastname@example.org and request that we amend, delete or cease processing of personal data. We will honor these requests and do so, while retaining only the information we need to enforce our legal rights.
Who Can You Contact? If you feel your privacy was violated, send us an email to our privacy officer, at email@example.com. Our officer shall respond and investigate these complaints. He will also publish periodic reports if a specific issue shall arise.
